Captain's Blog; January 25, in the year Two Thousand and Nine. After 75 days and nights asea, the Black Swan finally furls her canvas as she reaches her destination at the Southernmost edge of Key West.
Aye, we escaped the wreckers, a sorry lot who lack the integrity to act on their own accord, but rather hide behind the colour of authority. LaGrange was forewarned by Kalymnos not to mistake the false illuminations for the lighthouse. Avoiding the public eye of the port and unseemly questions regarding our ship's manifest, we decide to drop anchor on the reef and, just before sunset, slip ashore in the longboats.
On the rocky edge, where the sea meets the shore, the Selkie awaits our arrival in her womanly form.
"Welcome, Sisters," she says. "I retrieved your message in the bottle, and I am here to lead you to your abandoned Daughter. This way to Southernmost House."
